Re: What's the Most Ridiculous Rule in Golf?
As for not answering questions, I don't remember reading any answer to my statement about raking bunkers. Some one said bunkers shouldn't be raked so they would be more of a hazard, as they are designed to be. I stated this would be okay, but only if bunkers were NEVER raked, so they would be the same at the begining of the first round as they are at the end of the last round. I also stated that this would cause a big problem as most all bunkers only have a few inches of sand on top of a different kind of soil, so it wouldn't be long before there wouldn't be any sand on top, and we'd all be playing out of clay and rocks mixed with a little sand. Not what any of us want I believe. But no one has come back to defend their post saying bunkers shouldn't be raked. I also offered a compromise with the use of a courser rake for the bunkers, like the ones use one time last year on tour. It was done my Jack Nicklaus I believe, as a way to make the bunkers less friendly. But no one has commented on my idea. Jack's idea worked perfectly fine when used, so why not continue with the practice? And why no comments from you guys in favor of not raking bunkers?
