I think the new swing is finally getting grooved!!
Saturday was probably my best ball striking day in 3 years, and it was best down the stretch (1 under last 6 holes) on a course I had not played in at least 5 years. Although I only shot 79, I am so excited about the prospects. I had at least 6 putts dead in the throat of the cup a couple of inches short.
I guess I should mention that in desperation
about a month ago I took a lesson from my pro, and in an hour and a half he: strengthened my weak left hand; put my middle and ring fingers of my right hand back on the club; fixed my closed alignment; pointed out I was not turning my hips at all; I was coming over the top; and worked on a flying elbow. It takes a while to groove that many changes!
