I'm with Waz. The only reason to pace off a putt, would be to know how far it was if you make it.

I mean, are there actually people who can say, "Ok, it's a 42 foot putt. That equates to a 37.6-degree angle back swing."

Putting with the correct pace is all about feel and repetition.
