Do you know any welders?
Usually such things can be repaired with a TiG weld. Any welding shop should have a TiG setup or look for any shop that builds motorcycles as well (they do a lot of TiG welding).
If the break is clean, the pieces will position well for a repair and once it's welded and ground, it should be as good as new. It would likely cost you only twenty to thirty dollars or so as opposed to buying a new putter and considering that you're alternative
IS a new putter, it couldn't hurt to check it out.
