I'd call customer service first - if the repair is free or minimal - get the putter repaired.
Exercising my theory that one can never have too many putters, with the money saved, I'd also buy a new putter.
My current Ping Karsten Craz-E is working pretty good right now, but we're still on our "honeymoon." It is different than my previous putters in shape and weight. It sets up nice and square, has no face insert, and puts a nice roll on the ball. Just a suggestion if you're going to test out putters.
