The above happened in the second round, however, in the first round, the same player lost a ball in exactly the same area in question (his balls are marked with his name on them). Then in round two, the previous situation arises, but now there are three balls there. His original tee shot, the provisional AND the lost ball from the first round. Now what do you do? (I guess it really doesn't matter if it's a 36 hole event, you could probably just say that a third, identical ball was also found with the other two balls)

Then both balls would be lost
