Question regarding driver loft

Hope this Q has not been asked to often:

After some troubles early 2007 with a serous bout of shanks - I visited a pro for the first time in 20 years - who told me that basically my grip was completely wrong and that changing that would be the only remedy.
Changing grip meant rebuilding the complete swing - which has turned out to be the best what could have happened. I have reached scores where I was not before - I started the year at -17,8 and finished at -14.4 - bearing in mind that in Germany you can only really improve your handicap if you partake in tournaments - and I only managed to play 3 - and managed to berak 80 in South Adfrica this winter for the first time.

The change of the swing led to a higher swing speed but also to that I have much more trajectory than before.

I feel that on the driver I loose distance because I go high up - even teeing up the ball low - I will still have a lot of height.

I use a Cleveland 460 TI Comp and had the shaft replaced last year to a Fujikara pro series - which is substantially stiffer than the old shaft.

I have a 10,5 loft and my Q is whether changing to a 9,5 would help solve the issue ?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Thomas
