Looks like Johneli has joined the pantheon of greats here at Golf Rewound and eclipsed the 1000 post mark this afternoon. It has been a treat to have you here, Johneli....your enthusiasm for the game and golf as well as Tiger's feats have led to a lot of interesting discussion. I'm glad you made your way from that other place and joined us here...we're so much better off for it. Here's to the next 1000 being even better than (and filled with as many Tiger victories as) the first!


Now, the important question is....

What's for dinner?

Thanks to all for your good wishes. You have all made me feel very welcome here at GRW. And thanks to Stlcard_25 for luring me over here from "that other site." Your thoughtful comments (at the other site) coupled with a GRW banner made me curious. When I got here I could tell that everyone's golf expertise was on higher plane that challenged and stimulated me. Thanks again everyone! I truly look forward to checking in every single day! I've learned a great deal here!!!

Traditionally the Green Jacket winners select a "meal"....it is a virtual thing, obviously...but you can list your favorite meal, or whatever. We'll all partake and have a jolly good time in the spirit of your accomplishment.

Then it's back to shining shoes in the champion's locker room for you, newbie!

Dinner is served:

Appetizers: Bruschetta (Slices of dense Italian Peasant Bread painted with olive oil, toasted, rubbed with garlic, and topped with a mixture of diced garden tomatos mixed with olive oil and basil.) Ice ColdStone Crabs with a mustard-mayo-horseradish dipping sauce.

Mains: Whole Filet Mignon on the grill, sliced down and served with red wine and mushroom sauce. Sides of asparagus wrapped with prosciutto and garlic mashed potatoes. Sausage and meatball lasagna Layered with tons of mozarella, ricotta, and a savory sauce made with imported San Marzano tomatos.

Salad:Baby greens and frisee dressed with a simple lemon, olive oil and garlic vinaigrette and topped with shavings of parmesiano reggiano cheese.

Dessert: If you have room....Fresh strawberries and blueberries topped with panna cotta cream and mint leaves.
