Club Cleaning

For my new set of Mizuno MP-14's I would like to know if there is something I could do to try and get rid of some of the scratches on the face besides just washing it. And is there anything I can get to make them look newer?

Re: Club Cleaning

Very fine steel wool should give them a nice shine, add some cola to that if you want

Re: Club Cleaning

Don't use steel wool, regardless of how fine. Chances are it'll scratch away the chrome, and leave the face open to rusting. A soft nylon bristled brush and warm soapy water should suffice.

Re: Club Cleaning

It's the face of a golf club, there are going to be scratches.

I would never use steel wool. Once in a while, I'll use some Wheel (metal) Wax but normally I just use a toothbrush and tooth paste.

Re: Club Cleaning

If your really worried about that, try some rubbing compound or polishing compound and a buffer. That will take care of them until you hit your next shot.

Re: Club Cleaning

The only way to remove scratches in metal (chrome) is to remove more metal. Only other thing you can do is send them away and have them re-chromed, but like pick it up said, as soon as you hit a ball with them there are going to be more scratches.
