Ever try Wishon grips?

A couple of days ago I got my new MacGregor irons, but they had some stock Winn grips that felt like they had been greased when they got wet. I washed them, but they still were super slippery. So I took my irons to a professional club fitter/builder friend of mine and he showed me some new Wishon grips. I tried one of his clubs with the grip, put it under the faucet and it was still nice and tacky, even when wet. So I had him put them on my irons. For about $4 and change per club installed, they are really a bargain. I play a lot in wet, rainy, high humidity conditions, and these Wishon grips are going to be nice. Anyone else had a chance to try the Wishon grips?

Which set of these grips did you get installed? Grips link: Tom Wishon Golf Technology

I want to replace the too-smooth WINN grips on my modern irons, and am always looking for something a little different than the norm.

Re: Ever try Wishon grips?

They're firm with a "hint" of softness...sounds like a baby diaper commercial, huh? But I could easily play a round sans glove, with no problems. What sold me was the nice tacky feeling, even when damp/wet. I really need that here in sub tropical south Florida. I could show up for a golf game during the worst drought in the history of the Gobi Desert, and it would rain cats and dogs.

Re: Ever try Wishon grips?

I like the standard v series, a tad longer, lower hand is also slightly built up. The wraps have those same features. I've gotten hooked on them, I always go back. They are in the tour velvet type, I've never been able to get used to the winn type, I lose the feel for the club.
They also have a new tactrac grip for winn avs type users, haven't tried them yet.
Grips prices have gotten outrageous.
