Where can I get the crowns re-finished?

Is it possible? The scratches are distracting.

Golfsmith and Golfworks both offer club refinishing.

Buy a can of black spray paint and do it yourself. Or pick a different color if you want to try something different. A flat black paint would be a nice change from the normal shiney paint on most drivers.

Re: Where can I get the crowns re-finished?

I've done that with a few clubs I picked up from Ebay and then resold them better looking than when I got it, lol.

Especially when the front edge of the crown's paint job is nibbled, I've sanded the leading edge a little, and taped the face and sprayed at the edge, holding the driver face towards the paint spray, but at an angle, so only the leading edge of the crown gets sprayed....let dry....pull the tape off, excellent straight edge line. But some manufacturers use some off-color, metallic paint that doesn't allow that remedy. At least TM is mostly black gloss.

Re: Where can I get the crowns re-finished?

if u did it, save your money and get a lesson...if someone else did it, try turtle wax moderate to heavy scratch remover...I have stood on zoyzia tees myself, that were cut way to tall and didn't realize I was sinking in only to have my club go right under the ball...I prefer the turtle wax stuff...it leaves the club looking like new....as for missing paint...well...like I said if it wasn't you, try turtle wax, or paint...if its you forget all of the above until you fix the problem...for the most part, people coming over the top have the best chance at chipping the paint...luckily for me...I am a hooker when I hit a bad shot...and thats usually low in the club face...and more blocked than hooked...so I don't have this issue.

Chuck at Golfin' Colors does a great job at re-finishing heads.
