Re: Cobra Speed Series

Felt harsh on impact and had a weird balance to it.

Re: Cobra Speed Series

Had an Fspeed for about 8 months...could never get used to it and suffered throughout the year with scabby fairway stats, using irons, 3 wood and hybrids off the tee, and being just generally unhappy...found the face to be overly closed, balance DID seem off now that you mention it JamesGold, and it was really anyone's guess where the ball was going...good strikes were fantastic but isn't that always the case?...switched to 905r and saw a difference in typical results almost immediately...not reccommended...

Re: Cobra Speed Series

On a whim, I purchased an xspeed driver that was a demo. It was in great shape, almost new with an ALDILA NV-X stiff shaft for under $150. I figured if I didn't like it, to e-bay it would go. WOW. After a couple test runs at the driving range it is going out for an on course test run. I was hitting the ball farther than with my r5 and I was really impressed with the flight of the ball. I think I have found a club to bump the r5. I have nothing but good things to say about the r5, and maybe it is just the newness of the Cobra, but if it plays as well as it practices, the TM might get booted to my sons bag or else off to the auction site for it.
