OK question on the Master Grip Putter

I got a question on the Master Grip putter has anyone used one of there putter’s? I will have to say it looks a bit strange I got an offer in the mail for the putter at $29.00 plus $7.00 shipping never been one to buy gimmicks but I just might buy this putter for 36 bucks just to see how it does. Just hope I am not getting into something that I will regret look forward to hearing what others have to say.

Re: OK question on the Master Grip Putter

Ok here is the link to the site, I know couple people that have bought the brand of glove they sell through the mail and friends that bought the glove like them quite well. Anyway the putter is a strange looking brid but so are all putters of today.

HMM, well it looks like a decent mallet putter, and the fact there a return plicy, I'd say go for it! I would definently try it..I like the way the sides of the face, lift up off the ground..

Re: OK question on the Master Grip Putter

I bit on a similar deal a number of years ago for a putter called the AccuTech "Sniper." For a few months I was making putts from all over the place! It was a great putter--until the head came loose from the shaft and started to wobble up and down, right and left.

I went to every clubmaker I could find, but nobody wanted to touch it, claiming there was no way to permanently attach the putter head to the aluminum shaft to guarantee the same balance, feel, and alignment.

So, the only reservations I'd have with an offer like yours, which I also received, by the way, is the durability of the club.

Take some sandpaper to the shaft, rough it up, and put some gorilla glue on it. It will stay on..and if it doesn't, well, time to pull out the ARC welder!!

Re: OK question on the Master Grip Putter

I don't know about the putter you're looking at ...

but about 15 yrs ago, when I got back into golf (again, for the zillionth time!) I saw this company (Mastergrip) online. That's when I first started hearing about perimeter weighting on irons. So for $179 I bought the original irons. (They have since gone way down in price! $99.95!!) Anyway, the people I talked to were very nice and helpful. They sent me a 5 iron for free, and if I liked it I could get the rest of the set. I played with it at the range, liked the club then bought the rest. I used them until about 2 or 3 yrs ago, when I finally got another brand, and gave the Mastergrip irons to my brother-in-law. He loves them.

I used their gloves, and bought used balls from them too.

Why not go for it. Mastergrip was cool then... hopefully they are still a good company.

That's all I have.

Re: OK question on the Master Grip Putter

Well I decided to go for the putter 36 bucks if it last 6 months that's fine, about the same price for a dozen premium balls I would loose those in six months anyway and still be out 36 dollars. I will let you know how it putts, thanks guys for your comments.
