Your Big Purchase of the year...

I just bought a Adams RPM Low Profile Tour Prototype 16 degrees w/Adams Aldila NV 75 X Flex. Guy only played 5 to 10 rounds with it and wanted to get rid of it quick I guess cause he sold it for $100 bucks. I'm probably will also be getting a Titleist 905r 10.5* with a Pro Force v2 76 stiff shaft. I demoed it for almost the entire summer and loved it so I'm going take the plunge. What do you guys expect to get?

The only thing I've purchased in 2007 is a set of forged Maltby M-05 iron heads (4-GW). I'm just waiting for them to arrive.

Haven't bought anything golf related in 07 yet. The Indy Golf Show is this coming weekend though downtown at the convention center, so that'll change.

My big purchase this year so far has been a Nike SQ Tour driver, (2006 model) and a Nike SQ Strong 3-wood, (2007 model). I got the driver with the Aldila shaft I wanted and I'm changing the shaft in the 3-wood.

Not bad so far.

Re: Your Big Purchase of the year...

I just bought a nice plot next to a golf course in Bandung (150Km from here in the mountains)...average temps are in the 70s to 80s and is just beautiful with views of the city and terraced rice paddies...seeing how it is next to the course makes it a golf purchase in my book!

My big purchase has already happened, my Ping Eye2+ irons. They're my first ever set of clubs and I'm loving them so far.

Didn't purchase them, but the SuperQuad TP and Burner TP are the two newest clubs in the bag for this season.

Have you tried both, to my surprise it seems that the Burner is getting alot of play on tour. I was sure that the Superquad would be a bigger hit but from what I understand alot of the players have noticed the ball going more left. I'm sure its just a minor change that's needed.

I actually have both, the SuperQuad TP and Burner TP. I like the look of the SuperQuad more, but the Burner flat out kills the ball. Daly actually switched to the Burner already, Sean O'Hair is also playing it. I think the guys that play the r7 425 are more than happy with it, and don't have a lot to gain by switching to something so similar to it. However, the guys that moved to the Burner will see a dramatic difference in head size, set up, geometry, and feel. This may be why more guys have gone to the Burner than to the SuperQuad.

Re: Your Big Purchase of the year...

Just talked to my friend who works in the Taylor Made Tour Department, going to be getting a few new toys this season. A set of RAC Forged TP 05 tour only irons, forged in the Miura plant in Japan, the new 2007 Rescue TP hybrid, and a set of RAC Satin TP Tour Issue wedges. I'll have to buy him dinner next time I get out to Carlsbad.
