Discounts and Clubs

Does anyone know if or when the Snake Eyes 600B irons will go on sale at golfsmith? I have heard something about them doing a winter sale but I am not sure. Also, which clubs should I get first? I am saving up for a new Driver, Woods, Irons, and Wedges and right now I only have $300. I can get the Snake Eyes irons in a few weeks but if they go on sale I could get them very soon but should new irons be the first thing to get? It will take me awhile to save up for the other things so opinions please.

I would get a job...300 bucks isn't getting you your dream set...anyhow as for what to get first, you ought to know better than anyone, esp. being a scratch golfer and all...

If they were having a winter sale on those irons, wouldn't they already have them cheaper? looking outside my window I can see 6-7 inches of snow. That tells me its winter.

I would get whatever you think is going to take you longest to adjust too, it doesn't sound like your going the custom fit route so your going to have adjusting to do from your old set. Wedges as long as you can hit your old wedges you can get the feel of the new wedges pretty quick. Should just take you a couple hours on the range to dial in the distances with those.

Golfsmith has two sales a year where their component equipment goes on sale for 40-50% off. December and June is when this happens. I pick up stuff every year at this time. By the way, those 600B irons are nice clubs. I built a 5-iron as a demo. Very nice looking.

progolf, if you're looking for blades at a good price, there's a set of Toski blades with DG S300's on WRX right now for under $200. You ought to consider those. Based on the pics, they look pretty similar to the 600B's.

The seller is a good guy.

"new" can mean brand new or new to you.
