Re: Travel Bags

.

I use the Club Glove Burst Proof with Wheels.

It packs easy, stores easy and so far it has protected everything very nicely. I also have a "Stiff Arm" insert that works really well in protecting the "business end" of the bag and is an absolute must-have for any soft travel bag.

I do take some extra precautions though:
  • I store my driver in the center of the bag rather than in its "normal" spot.
  • I tape my irons together with blue painters tape (comes off easy) so they're not "clacking" all over the place.
  • I wrap the clubheads with two large golf towels (actually bath towels that I use on the course)
  • I make sure every pocket is zipped shut and that everything fits snugly (the damage happens when things are rattling around)

I also store my shoes in the travel bag and whatever else I can think of. I try to keep everything under 50# because if it's over, it costs more and security is more likely to go taking things apart to find out why it weighs so much.
The wheel feature is real nice too and I pull it around the airport like a golf cart.

For the money (I think around $180 or so), it's a great travel bag and it basically stores away to almost nothing when not in use which is great for hotel closets.
