Taylormade iron heads....screw onto shaft?

I was in our club pro shop the other day and before being rushed to my tee time, I started looking at a display of Taylormade irons that had various iron heads with screw on assemblies that shafts would 'screw-onto' the heads. I forgot to check back and find out what that's about. Anyone know? Is this for fitting or are irons going the same way as the detachable driver heads?

i saw that too right before my tee time so i couldn't inspect it any further, but i assumed they were for fittings.

You're both dead on. Those carts are for iron fittings.

I read in "Golf for Women" this month about drivers that would allow you to change the shaft for different conditions. Has anyone used these new drivers?

Re: Taylormade iron heads....screw onto shaft?

They'll have 'em for drivers. Never heard of 'em for irons though. Irons on a fitting cart usually come with different shafts installed at different lengths and lie angles. No changing them out. The drivers are over rated and VERY Expensive!!! IMHO.

Howdy Diane. How's life?
