Golf Christmas Wishes

Okay.
I don't care how old we all are here. We all have some sort of Christmas wish and I'm sure a lot of them revolve around golf.

I thought it might be interesting to see what other people are wanting, or even getting this holiday season. And on the flipside - Are you giving anything golf related?

So far I have given nothing related to golf, nor do I plan on it.

But here is what I am receiving this holiday season:
Golf Pass for the 2008 Season for 2 local courses
Srixon WG-504 wedges
Scotty Cameron (yet to decide model)
Titleist ProV's

So what is on your list?

I'd like a Slighter Portland with a Santa Fe neck - $425.

Re: Golf Christmas Wishes

I sort of cheated on Christmas this year. I just bought myself a new set of wedges and found a set of the EVO31's just like the set I lost the 7 iron out of online. I bought my own golf Christmas. I got the wedges today, Tommy Armours 52, 56, and 60. I hope the weather improves tomorrow so I can try em out.

Re: Golf Christmas Wishes

Just got the wife a new car for Christmas (cashed some bonds & trade-in, was minimal remaining payment), so doesn't that mean I'm free to get whatever I want in golfdom?

I wear the Flexor series and could not be more happy. I have an awful shaped right foot (the base of my 5th metatarsal sticks out at least half an inch), and these shoes have been excellent. Recently, I e-mailed Ecco about a problem I was having with the insoles and they sent me a new, and what appear to be better pair of insoles.

they are my first pair of golf shoes and it will be hard to turn to anyone besides ecco in the future.

Re: Golf Christmas Wishes

I'm not really asking for much this year golf-wise. I brought up a season pass to my favorite course to my family, but the chances of that happening are slim to none. I did ask for a few dozen V1x's, so hopefully I'll get those, it'd be nice not to pay for golf balls for a long time

Re: Golf Christmas Wishes

I was lucky enough this past summer to play a very elite local country club. The course was amazingly beautiful and I was just coming down with a cold. Actually sat out a couple of holes from fatigue. But anyways, after everything I purchased two golf towels and divot tools with logo's, from the pro shop. They are gorgeous. I'm planning on giving them to my two boys who golf. One boy is the one who got hooked on chip and putt with me one night a couple years ago. The other just started playing this year. Alittle pride hanging from the bag never hurts and they come with a story. I like things with some history or nostalgic meaning behind them.

I am getting a pool......coincidentally so is my wife. The upside is I don't have to go shopping. The downside is I can't afford to go shopping.

Re: Golf Christmas Wishes

I'm hoping no one in my family gives me any golf related stuff, unless they ask me to tell them specifically what I want. But they never do, and I end up with a couple of dozen RockFlite balls, some tees that are either too short or too long, golf shirts that don't fit or are uncomfortable, etc. Now of course, I don't want to appear ungrateful, and I accept the gift along with the love and thoughtfulness(?) that was meant to be displayed by the giving. But frankly, I'd rather go get my own stuff, just like I do the rest of the year!

So, if someone WERE to give me golf-related gifts and ask what I wanted, I'd probably say:
- Next season's Big Summer Golf Discount Card
- Gift cards to Target, Sports Authority, etc.
- A new cart bag with an insulated pocket, individual full-length club dividers, and a putter tube.
- CASH!

Anything else I'd just as soon go get it myself!

Re: Golf Christmas Wishes

Well I know I'm not asking for many golf related items, but I know that I am getting a new (to me) set of irons. I just purchased a set of Nike CCI Forged irons this morning so I'll be receiving them sometime within this next week. Merry Christmas to myself
