Waz, they are great shoes aren't they? I really

like the Classic Dry Premier's. I have the white and these:

It's easy to match up a belt with those...and I'm usually a black shoe guy anyway.
Those are sharp. I hate shopping and after sending the sales guy back 3 times looking for size 13 of various brands and styles, I settled on a Brown on Black Etonic. Of course if I wanted to pay $300 I could've had my pick. I might get the Footjoys cleaned & polished up again and use them for more than just a backup. There's really nothing wrong with them.

I feel your pain, although things in the US are better than in the UK. Ask for 13s in the US and they've often got them. When I buy shoes in the UK it's more a question of asking them in the first place what they have in a 12 (which is equivalent to US 13).

Ty & Waz - Have you ever tried Zappos online? I looked and some of the styles went up to size 15. Returns are free if you don't like them or they don't fit.

I tried to shop there....they don't carry Merrells, which is my all-time favorite comfortable shoe. I buy them at Onlineshoes.com, but not always free shipping like Zappos.

Have you ever tried Nordstromshoes.com? They have free shipping and a fairly big selection.

Mr. Bogey - are you elderly? I know how old Pistol is, but wasn't sure if you were his much older golfing partner.

Zappos is great. My wife buys all of her thousands of shoes there . I didn't get these two pairs of Footjoy's there, but they have great deals.

And I'm yet another who feels the pain of trying to get cool golf shoes in size 13. If you get them online, you have a much better chance of getting what you want, and WAY cheaper than the golf stores.

Those 2 pairs of Footjoys were $300 retail each, and I got them online for about a hundred bucks less. I don't normally spend that much on shoes, but one pair was a xmas gift from my wife.

I actually got a little visualization of the imagined outfit, caught myself, and threw up in my mouth a little...fashion was never my thing...

There was a sale on ashworth shirts about a year ago...I bought 5 in white, 2 in gray, 2 in black...I also have the same nike shirt in white 3 times, and a few random ones here and there...I play in shorts and will wear the same pair a minimum of two times out...the belt I wear is nearly ten years old, is a double eyelet belt where the eyelets are outlined in metal and ring the entire belt in two rows...the eyelets are a little rusty from the amount of sweat that I generate, but that's alright as I never ever tuck in...I have three or four different brands of ankle socks and am not afraid to mix and match despite the differences in the showing logos...lastly, I have 5 pair of shoes, two of which are in the trunk of the car...the last time I cleaned them was while I was waiting at the carwash and that was on a whim...usually they are pretty dirty, but I will blow them somewhat clean with the compressed air hose at the end of most rounds...

Hats? I have an 8 year old yankees hat that used to be navy, but I usually go without...

How did I do Diane!?!??!

One of my friends is a British 15 (US 16 I assume). He has a devil's own job finding shoes ever. One of my other friends and I were on holiday in Florida and wandered into a Nike outlet store. They had some sneakers in a 19. We were very tempted to buy them for him just so he could experience a pair of shoes that are too big for him, but they were too large to fit inside either of our suitcases

And that's it...I depend on my once or so yearly sojourns to the states for my shoes...problem is 4 pair pretty much take the suitcase...

I'll try them next time. I won't be in the market for another pair for at least 3 years though.

How can you take such pride in your clean apron and wear a pair of shorts two times if you sweat that much?

I am right elderly - 10 years older than Pistol at 54 - but I swing much younger! But the socks-covering-ankles idiosyncracy goes way back, to my teenage years.

We all have our quirks.

I played yesterday and it was cold so I wore the following:
stone colored khakis
white long sleeve t-shirt
dark coral v-neck silk sweater
light coral wind shirt
black wind vest
dark coral cotton scarf
black knit hat
black/white shoes
black winter gloves

Jeez...last time out I rocked the same socks that I did about a week ago...left the house in sandals and forgot to bring a pair but got lucky and found some under the back seat...
