My Round Tonight

I had a really good round tonight - well 9 holes. We were only a 2-some and in a cart because it was so hot. There was a 5-some of guys in front of us and they offered to let us play though. Then the 4-some of guys in front of them offered to let us play through as well. I usually get anxious when I play through knowing people are watching, but tonight the anxiety worked in my favor and I played really well. Despite the heat or maybe because of it, everyone on the course was in a good mood.

Nice going! I hope this will be the start of you actually wanting to put on a good show for the group you are playing through! And don't worry about it, 2 will be faster then 5 in the end, even if the 1st tee-shot isn't all that!

Nice going sounds like you had a good round and great fun. I use to be the same way when it came to playing through a group I would get anxious, now days I just put it out of my mind an go for it.

I had a great evening of golf myself tonight (well, last night now <G>).

A client cancelled some work I had scheduled for after hours, so I headed down to the course to try to get on. Met a nice threesome on the first tee; self-described "hackers", but dead keen and good company as well.

We played 12 holes before running out of light. I played pretty steadily from tee to green — almost no major mistakes, but my putting was just not on. I four-putted a green from about 18 feet!

But that didn't matter. Nice night, nice people, and the feeling of some well struck drives and irons.

Life is good.

I've had a couple of good evening rounds lately. Got lucky and the cloud cover moved in and wind started up to relieve some of this heat. Late evening is just the best time to be on the golf course anyway. Glad you had a good time, Diane.
