Can you help me find my 7-iron?

Feel pretty dumb, but I've lost my 7-iron (Cobra SS-i, regular shaft).

I used it last on the driving range at my home course, where I like to finish up a bucket by playing a little game of "imagine the hole". I'll hit the club to start the hole in my mind, then choose the next shot based on quality of first shot, etc. I propped the 7-iron against a chair while I hit another club, then evidently failed to pick it up when I finished up.

I didn't play the next day, then out of town the following and discovered it was missing. When I checked with my home course, it had not been turned in. Still has not, 3 weeks later.

If any of you see one like it in a used club bin when you're out and about, please let me know. I've checked with the used club purveyors I'm aware of with no luck so far, and have been watching Ebay.

I can't even trade the rest of the set in without a 7 iron.

Anyway, if you spot a similar club, thanks in advance.

That stinks, jdw. At the course you'd have at least a 90% chance of getting it back(who needs someone elses 7 iron ?) but the range draws all types. Good luck.

jdw - that really stinks - doesn't matter what club it was or its value - I can't believe a fellow golfer would not turn in a found club)

Good luck finding a replacement.

Re: Can you help me find my 7-iron?

Next month (I think it is August 7-10) there is The 450 mile yard sale that is held every year it runs from Gadsden, Al to Covington, KY. Sometimes my wife and I will go from Gadsden, Al to Chattanooga, TN, there are always people with golf clubs for sale if we go this year I keep my eye out for one.

Having suffered the exact same loss from my favorite set of clubs, I feel for you. I kept watching Ebay and finally found a complete set just like my old set and bought them for a song. Now I have one complete set and one set w/o 7 iron. If I lose or break anthing besides a 7 iron, I am still good to go.

I tried all the club finder services, but being a lefty, they couldn't help. I even called Tommy Armour and they didn't have a head left anywhere they could even make one from, so Ebay was my last resort. I hope you get lucky like I did.

Re: Can you help me find my 7-iron?

Guys...Thanks for all the support on this. C-Tech, I actually did bid on a set on Ebay, but got outbid, will bid again on one similar; Jim, thanks...I checked with Clubfinder; clubscouter; Ironfinder; 3-balls.com; golfwrx; globalgolf; and a few others...even Googled it, lol! Hal, thanks for the look-see.

Our range is at the course, next to the pro-shop, but we do get quite a few beginners who might have thought it was this awesome club, who knows!

I haven't given up, and may even get different irons sometime...I've kindof had the "wants" for some R7's.

Re: Can you help me find my 7-iron?

One more thing...you know what is sad? I shot my best score in about a year, a 73 on Saturday with a generic cavity back 7 iron I got for $5 out of a clearance bin at my course. Of course, it was mostly drivers and wedges that day.

LOL, the Cobra customer service guy gave me a list of half a dozen used club dealers I could contact. Not much help, to be sure.

Not too surprising considering you "misplaced" the club. At least he didn't laugh at you.

Re: Can you help me find my 7-iron?

JW, any luck finding a replacement yet? If not, give me the full specs. I just found a used club store here in Tucson that has literally thousands of used clubs and sets of every description... I'll go take a look. It's called Arizona Golf Exchange and it is just packed with clubs, unfortunately, very few are lefthanded, so it has limited value for me, but it might help you.
