Re: Bridgestone E5/E6

Give 'em a birdie, but the eagle putt just lipped out! I like these balls! I first played an e6 after finding it while playing, and liked it for the couple of holes I used it before scuffing it badly when a drive hit the cart path.

So I went ahead and bought a dozen at a new "Golf Etc." store (great store, by the way!) that recently opened near here. Same price as most places online - $24.95/doz. The store owner said he had used them and liked them, and his swing speed, club distances were similar to mine.

Good distance - I have played 3 rounds with them now, and am hitting the ball further and straighter off the tee, more consistently than ever. No, it's not just the ball, as I've also played some Nike Power Distance Softs during these rounds with similar results. But I have also been getting better distance and spin from my 3 - 7 irons, something I haven't noticed with other balls. Most of the time you hear about a ball being longer off the tee, or better around the greens. Well, the Bridgestone e6 has made an improvement in my mid-game as well as performing well off the tee and around the green.

The only thing that keeps me from giving it an eagle is the price of $24.99/dozen. That is only a few dollars less than the Bridgestone premium line of balls, the 330s, which I've seen sold for about $27/doz. Maybe I should try them next!

Re: Bridgestone E5/E6

I have been playing the E6 quit a bit and I really like it. They have helped keep me striaghter than usual, decent feel around the green and off the putter, and very nice distance. I played some Top Filte Feel D2's yesterday and I really liked them although they weren't as straight for me as the E6. With my swing I need anything I can that helps me reduce sidespin....I am going to give the D2 Straight a go thought. That might be my new ball if they play as well as the D2 Feel.

Re: Bridgestone E5/E6

I've been playing the E5 for about 3 months and love it. If holds the green fairly well, has great feel, and is fairly long off the tee.

I liked these balls. I got some from my brother for my birthday and have been pleased.
