Re: Taylormade TP

Not a bad ball, but sometimes hard to find. Not to many people have these in stock!

Re: Taylormade TP

The Red is a 5 star ball in my book, not a huge fan of the Black, just doesn't give the right launch and spin numbers. The Red has a good feel around the greens and just enough of a click off the putter to know that I hit it.

Re: Taylormade TP

TP BLACK
I have played this for the last few rounds and am very impressed. It seems very long off of the driver (more than BH Tour Deep), and also more accurate (lower side spin). Its had a very good feel off of the irons and great feel off of the putter.

My only minor negative point is the spin on partial wedge shots. I could say this cost me a playoff in a match a couple of days ago where I was not used to its performance. I hit the chip/pitch and looked up, just where I would expect it to check (ala BH Tour Deep), it just run past (about 8-10ft), I missed the putt for birdie .

However, elsewhere on the course it was a dream. All of the other shots (1/2 pitch up to long irons, driver) I cannot fault. Will just take a little while to get used to.

I am going to try the TP Red when the Blacks run out. With summer approaching I may need that little extra spin again.

Re: Taylormade TP

Shot a fine 9 with a new TP Black today. Nice ball. Great off the irons. I will also give the Red a try soon.

Re: Taylormade TP

The Blacks are like cheating. I played them last winter when I got a free 4 ball sleeve. These balls are crazy long off the tee and they work well with the irons off the fairway. Around the green was my only little trouble spot because I had a hard time spinning them but then again I always had a quite a bit of problems spinning greenside shots back then. If they weren't retailing $40 I would buy them all now.

Re: Taylormade TP

I haven't hit the reds yet but I have hit the Black and was impressed witht he ball off hte tee. However, I wasn't as impressed around the green but still a very good ball. I'll have to try the reds sometime.
