Congratulations GolfSavage

Congratulations to GolfSavage on getting his Green Jacket thanks for all that you have contributed to this great site. Without folks like you and others there would be no GRW. Look forward to your next 1000 post

Re: Congratulations GolfSavage

Wow, I wasn't really aware I was getting close to "the number"! Thanks for the well-wishes and lies!

Dinner will be simple Florida fare:

Jumbo shrimp boiled in beer and Zatarain's crab boil, iced down and served with a nose-clearing horseradish cocktail sauce.

Deviled crabs with hot pepper sauce.

Baked snapper fillets with mango salsa.

Julienned and fried sweet potatoes and sweet cole slaw.

Silver Queen corn-on-the-cob grilled over an wood fire, served with melted butter, salt and pepper.

Crusty, buttered Cuban bread.

For dessert - real Key lime pie, with some Blue Bell Banana Pudding Ice Cream.

Mojitos and Florida wines (Scuppernong, Muscadine or grapefruit) for those imbibing.

Sweet tea, Cuban coffee and Zephyrhills Spring water served throughout.

Congrats GolfSavage...your contribution to the site since its inception has been more than we could ever have asked for. We're so thankful you chose to join us.

Now, if only you sided with a more savory bunch than those Gators...

As good as it is, there's something "fishy" about that menu. May I suggest some "gator" tail kabobs for the carnivors in the group?

Thanks for making GolfRewound a better place.

Re: Congratulations GolfSavage

Part of the thanks should go to me. Without me he probably would have had 200 posts. Congrats and I have enjoyed our discussions.

I considered adding a "red meat" choice, say some good ol' Florida beef steaks, but I'd had a nice top sirloin, baked potato, salad, etc. for supper and my arteries were full! Plus, I figure you guys can get that stuff just about anywhere, and in some places y'all have much better beef than is available in this part of the country.

Maybe we can do some bacon-wrapped scallops for the cholesterol-deficient. My apologies to any vegans or vegetarians out there - you ain't invited!

Congrats on the 1000 GolfSavage. I always enjoy your posts. They consistently make me laugh out loud more than anyones on the board... though you're not exactly off to a flying start on your 2nd thousand -
