Minnesota wild rice soup

Walleye pike, lightly battered and fried
Lefse (a flatbread made from potatoes)
Sweet corn
Sugar beets

Lime jello mixed with Cool Whip, fruit, and baby marshmallows

Washed down with a tasteful Chardonnay from the Saint Croix Vineyards.

Wow, was I ever out of the loop this week...I missed my favorite GRW poster's Green Jacket ceremony (and what looks to be a great meal!)!

Congrats to a fine example of how message board poster could be idealized...eloquent, helpful and never lacking in sense, JimSomebody is a great addition to our growing club. I'm thankful you followed us over here and even more thankful that you rejoined the team. Your work on the wall has been huge in helping the site survive its first months. Hey, 'card... great to see ya! Obviously, a place of honor at the dinner is reserved for GRW's leading poster, a guy who delivers quality as well as quantity.

By the way, for any hungry non-jacket-holders, I had the kitchen help whip up some other foods Minnesotans love: Spam sandwiches and deep-fried Milky Way bars on a stick. The chow's around back. Don't make a mess. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
