Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound Cord

Just had this put on a couple of my wedges trying to decide on new grips for the future - maybe next season. For now I am impressed with my original Callaway grips but this grip is awesome! I love the feel of these and it rained on the last two holes today so I would add that they work great when wet as well as dry. Definitely on my list of choices. The only thing I might be concerned about is the lower part of the grip is rubber and since I have only played with these three times the wear factor on this section may be a concern. Only time and play will tell. Oh yeah, and I like the red and black color combination.

Re: Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound Cord

I used these grips last season and found that the bottom portion wore too quickly for me. I would change them every two to three weeks to keep the softer section tacky. Now that I went back to my full cord Tour Velvets, I have gone since December with the same set of grips.

I used the multi-compounds all last season. And I've re-gripped my sets with new ones for this season.

I give the GP MC's a Double

I put them on all my clubs over the Winter. Love the feel, I'll see about how they "wear" as the season goes on. They took the place of GP dual durometer grips which I also liked a lot.

Re: Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound Cord

I've had them on my Mizuno MP-32s for almost 2 years and I play at least 3 times per week. They need to be changed but I haven't gotten around to it. For me they held up really well.

Re: Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound Cord

Just had them put on all of my clubs. The two I had wore extremely well and had a lot of play on them. Great grip!

Re: Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound Cord

Hey tmtp & Darth. That is amazing. I had them on my two wedges for very close to a year, play an average of three times a week all year long and have very little wear on mine. That is why I decided to put them on all of my clubs.

I tried it on a driver...didn't like it...not a fan of cord and honestly they were just too busy for me...found them distracting...using tour velvets now with good results...

Actually only the top half is cord. The bottom is just like the Tour Velvet. One thing for those that use the Tour Velvet - you save yourself about $5 a grip! I just don't like them. Seems like they twist to me. Too much rubber and they didn't wear well enough for me. I know they are popular though. Lots of pros use them. We're all different, and that's a good thing!

I know only the top half is cord...I had one too... Still not a fan of the corded part, and the bottom is thinner than the velvets with swirls of graphics and funny ridges...just not for me...

Now the dual durometers look like something that I'd like to try...
