Golf Courses in Tunica, Ms.

Just wondering if any has any knowledge about Cottonwoods or River Bend in Tunica. The wife and I plan on going the 19th and while she loses money I will play as much golf as I can. Will probably come back the evening of the 20th so I can get in at least two or even try the third course which I forgot it's name.

Geaux Mizzou Tigers, beat Arkansas. That will show those want to be imposters

Re: Golf Courses in Tunica, Ms.

I almost played Cottonwoods. We got there and they were aerating everything - and I mean everything. They said we could play, but seeing all those little piles of dirt turned us off. I'm trying to think of the course we played but I can't. Maybe that's a good thing because it was not a good course.

Too bad you didn't go a little further south to Philadelphia, MS. The Choctaws have 2 casinos that I would say are on par with Vegas casinos - huge, lots of games, and excellent entertainment. But better yet, they have the Dancing Rabbit golf complex which are two top of the line 18 hole courses. I'm heading there again this summer.

Re: Golf Courses in Tunica, Ms.

I've never played any golf in Tunica, but spend many many nights there.

I went to Ole Miss, which is just about an hour from Tunica. Played a lot of poker up there. Wish I could help you out on the golf though. Where will you be staying?

We are going to stay at Sam's Town since it is just one night and they have a course within walking distance next door then one of the others is a two mile drive. One of the courses and I think it is River Bend which is right next to Sams Town and it is supposed to be in the top 100 in the US.

I'm only about and hour and a half away from Tunica, and have wanted to slip up there and play - If you would, post back here, and let us know how the course(s) were, it may entice me to make the trip!

I would much rather play golf than gamble on paper tape one armed bandits like my wife does. I'll try and play all three and give an update on what I find. The two River Bend and Cottonwoods are supposed to be links style courses so it should be interesting. The last links I played was the one owned by Ceasars up in Indiana and the rough was so brutle I said next time I thought about going there I would turn out about 100 goats first and let them graze for two weeks then play.

I probably don't need to go to the casinos there, but I figure I can at least enjoy the courses! Oh, and if ya'll come back, you really ought to try Philadelphia - from all accounts the Dancing Rabbit courses are top-notch - I'm heading there this summer (I hope).

We may try that on the next trip. We can't be gone but a couple of days because of our saltwater shop. It heck to be tied down.

Re: Golf Courses in Tunica, Ms.

Originally we had a nice website but let it go because of a problem with the server closing down and running with the money. Most of our business comes from word of mouth and we don't sell on the internet so decided to cut costs and reduce overhead.
