Played there yesterday and I would definitely list it as a great course. It was windy and being a links course with water and sand all over the course I started out the first two holes from the championship tees at 6699 yds but after having to hit 5 wood on the par 4 404 yds number two I decided to move up to the blues which play at 6321 yds and it was still highly challenging with it seemed like a 1000 traps across 18 holes which luckily I only landed in 3 and had no ups and downs

The course has lots od contours lining the edges of the fairways and the fairways were like a carpet. The greens were champions bermuda and very smooth but didn't seem to foolow typical graining flow when it came to reading the putts and I missed quite a few on the edges where it seemed as though the grain should have moved the ball on way or another. Recommendation would be to fiure the slope and putt with very little grain adjustment. Started out 2 over for 6 holes but finished the front with bogie, bogie, double on the last three. The wind got worse on the back and coupled with 2 beers I shot 10 over on the back. Anyone interested the tips play at 7204 with a 73.2/126. I planned on playing Cottonwood but the course didn't look quite as good a shape at current but the greens at Cootnwood looked to be twice the size. Greens at National were small to medium size.
