Is there anybody on the site that has played there ---or even better: Is there anybody on the site that has played BOTH Dancing Rabbit AND Augusta National?* Are there similarities between the Azaleas Course and Augusta National?
I am not much of a gambler, so I am going strictly for golf. Is there anything else there in Philadelphia, MS besides golf and the casino?
Thanks,

* OK, I know its a long shot hat anybody has played both, but I figure that Pistol gets around som maybe he has played the Dancing Rabbit too?

I haven't played Augusta National, but I have played both courses at Dancing Rabbit. If the opportunity arises, TAKE IT. The courses are fantastic! I went with a group of friends and we played The Oaks on Saturday and the Azaleas on Sunday. I too have heard that the course is similar to Augusta National. Things that I will note that will not be like Augusta - there are no pine needle lies under the trees (at least there wasn't when I played) all around the course, though I remember some in a few places. The courses play long, tough and quick on the greens. The greens are bent grass, which is unusual for a Southern course, but I played in July and they were fine with the heat. Augusta seems to have broader fairways than either of the Dancing Rabbit courses. Maybe that's just the way it looks on TV though.
As for Philadelphia, MS (Choctaw is acutally the community the courses and casino are in), not much to see or do. If you are looking for an outing outside of the casino (maybe a show or something there, water park...), you'd have to travel about an hour or so southwest to Jackson, MS to find much.
