Re: Tour Edge Exotics CB2 hybrid

So I tried this at the range yesterday...they had a demo with a shaft I can't remember (stock something...will look again) but I had to try it after hearing about the hot face...it was a 19*, same as the rescue dual tp I have in the bag, so I did a side to side...
The look reminds me of the sonartec, and has a nice feel in that it is a solidly built club with a little weight in the head (which I like)...some might find it heavy however...
The trajectory was boring, but as the head was quite long and large, I was a little uncomfortable swinging the club (think Heavenwood pickle on a stick)...distance was good, and I hit some real scorchers with nice character in the ballflight...but whether because of familarity or better engineering I don't know, my hybrid outperformed this club...still a very nicely made club, and very easy to hit straight (I had a good range day yesterday and pretty much everything I hit went where I wanted... but of the ten balls that I hit, all were quite straight with only 2 being thinned a bit)...I did like the lower ball flight, and if they ever reduce the head size I think this would be a winner for me with the right shaft...I was a little disappointed that there was no "magic" explosion off the face as advertising surrounding this line would have you believe, but I wasn't really suprised as it seems the more I play, the more I realize the "indian not the arrow" adage is stone truth...good club!
