Wow, these might be my next set of irons!

I was provided with an Infiniti 658 7 iron by SRG to demo, and I really came to like the club. Shafted with the new Enzo Nano Pipe graphite shaft and gripped with a Golf Pride red/black grip, this club performed great!

I use my 7 iron almost as much as my putter, so replacing it with one I'm not familiar with is tough! Add to that my usual club is a forged blade, and 3/4" longer than standard, I wasn't sure how well I'd hit this standard-length, cavity-back club.

From the first hit on the range, to various shots from fairway, fringe, rough and fairway bunkers, I became confident and pretty capable with this club in short order. It matched my usual mid-trajectory ball flight, gave me comparable distance and good spin, and was probably even more accurate overall, especially from bad lies and on mishits. Using it to chip around the greens felt like I'd been handling the club for years.

I was also surprised at how well I could work the ball, inducing a draw or slight fade pretty much as needed. Although far from perfect, I could tell that if these were fitted properly for length and lie I'd be hitting a lot more greens from 160-170 yards out, and might even gain some distance with them. The Enzo shaft provided a nice, solid feel, much like good steel shafts, without the weight.

Anyone in the market for irons that provide control, forgiveness and performance should try these Infiniti 658 irons. And I've got a feeling these Enzo shafts will become very popular, as well.
