Fundementals

Consistancy comes from good fundementals.......I've heard that statement before from many pros. Like now I am down on practice time and when I do practice and play I struggle. Besides Grip and Stance, what are good fundementals too look at for us who have been halted due too weather? I am having problems with my swing and I cannot fall back too fundementals when I do not know what they are.......

Re: Fundementals

Balance, turn, posture are a few of the fundamentals that you can work on indoors. Balance is a little trickier since it requires a swing, but roll up a towel so that it fits under the arches of your feet so that your heel and toes are just touching the ground and take a slow swing, this will force you to have good balance or you will tilt forward or backward.

Re: Fundementals

Go to TheGolfChannel.com and check out their instruction section. There are a number of good articles on the fundamentals for stance and swing.

Re: Fundementals

How about having fun? If you don't make it a chore or struggle, it would be more enjoyable and keep you motivated to keep improving. Even if you take steps back in progress, you just accept it and concentrate on the weaknesses (i.e. short game, long irons, etc).

I like to personally focus upon grip, alignment, stance, and posture.

Smooth tempo, appropriate weight shift, and analysis of course conditions (doglegs, hazards, wind, intended target) is also very helpful.
