The Momentus Power Hitter

This thing is absolutely no joke - I got it on Thursday, hit the range on Friday, and was 15-30 yards longer than normal over the weekend. The weight delays the release of your wrists, i.e. prevents you from casting, and really gets a nice whip at the bottom of the swing arc.

I'd been skeptical, but I am a way, way believer in this thing. Anyone else try it?

My uncle swears by it. So much so that he bought me one. It's been sitting in my garage (unused) for three months.

I'll have to give it a try one of these days. An additional 15-30 yards is NOT A BAD THING!!!

Re: The Momentus Power Hitter

I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'm usually not someone to get carried away with hype, but I have a couple of friends who are pretty accomplished golfers who swear by it. I've certainly noticed an increase in their swingspeed and accuracy since they've been using it. They hit it a ton before, and they're hitting it longer and straighter now.

It's on my xmas wish list.

Is it much different than a weighted iron? I suppose the plane that you swing on would be different...

Re: The Momentus Power Hitter

Well, the difference here is that you can hit balls with it. And something someone else mentioned that I had forgotten to - I'm hitting it straighter, too. It just gives you such a great rhythm, as well, because it's so heavy you really have to swing it under control.

Increased strength, increased flexibility, longer and straighter drives? Not a bad deal.

Sign me up...I like the heavy club I swing now (momentus) and think it has had alot to do with my improvement this year...
