I actually like that one, though I am no swing doctor like some on here. The swing looks simple, repeatable, and powerful.

Re: my swing down the line 6 iron

Nice on line, but if you get fast, I see a slice? Looks like you "turn" with your arms? Not a lot of shoulder turn at all. Think one piece takeaway. Disclaimer: I am no certified instructor.

Re: my swing down the line 6 iron

Looks like you may be playing the ball a little too close to the body or your bent over too much. I notice quite a bit of bend in the elbows which may cause inconsistant striking. If it is working well stick with it. I'm not a teaching pro so maybe I'm all wrong! :-)

regards,
Darrell

Re: my swing down the line 6 iron

Looks fine, but you do push off your right a little so I see a slice with your driver? Other than that, looks great. Very similar to my swing.

Re: my swing down the line 6 iron

Try to find a way to get a bit more shoulder turn. Don't do anything drastic with the changes and experimentation though, because the overall swing seems pretty sound.

Re: my swing down the line 6 iron

I noticed you have an abbreviated backswing. It looks like you are rushing into your downswing. I would do what Vijay does. Take the club back to parallel (count one), hit the ball (count two). This is what he does to keep a good tempo and prevent a rushed swing.

Don't think I'm being critical, the swing looks good, just trying to be constructive.

Re: my swing down the line 6 iron

Yea I agree with Hotwheelz. The back swing is way to short. My swing thought for every swing is to make sure my left shoulder goes past my chin. This forces me to make sure my turn is all the way back. Hopefully I'll get some video up this weekend so you can see what I mean. Not saying that my swing is perfect or better just it may be better to see what I'm talking about through video.

Re: my swing down the line 6 iron

well thanks for everyone that commented...i could use more shoulder turn and maybe a slightly longer swing, i agree...however, when i do this or work on it...im not hitting the ball as solidly. but i will never stop trying to improve. thanks again guys...next im gonna put up a swing with my driver and also my hybrid to see what you think.

I have been taught to keep my weight on the inside of my right foot and push and drive though the shot.
