Yoga for Golf

I was wondering if anyone here has tried yoga for golf or just yoga in general. My wife wants to start doing it and of course wants to me to do it with her. So, I was looking on Golfsmith and saw dvd specifically targeted as a golf workout. Atleast if I'm going to do it, I am going to be doing it for golf!!

Re: Yoga for Golf

I used to do yoga twice a week. My biggest athletic weakness is lack of flexibility and core strength because I hate stretching and situps. Yoga helps immensely for both, and it helped me become more limber and stay steady during my golf swing. Plus in your case your wife will appreciate it too. The only reason I stopped is that it was through the gym at my old company and I no longer work there. I need to find a place to get back into it. My vote is to at least try it, and stick with it for at least 5 sessions. I think you'll notice a difference.
