Re: Impact Pics for Larrysf!!!!

Well first thing I noticed was your beltbuckle is not quite centered causing you to have about 1/000 th of an ounce too much weight on your left side which in turn might prevent you from consistently be consistent unless you consistently play with it that way.

Swing shots look great!

Geaux Mizzou Tigers, beat Arkansas. That will show those want to be imposters

The first thing I noticed was his hair since he was so worried about it in the other photos.

Nice pic.s. I am pretty sure Larrysf will approve of your weight distribution at impact.

You should fatten up a little though: Then you can have even more weight distribution!

Re: Impact Pics for Larrysf!!!!

Beautiful top of swing position. My 2c regarding impact are as follows:
1. Left heel should be firmly grounded - you're ever so slightly up on your toes; and
2. Your upper body should/could be slightly more "over the ball" at impact - the picture implies that your hips are very slightly too active and that your bad shots could be a block to the right or an "over the top" pull to the left.To see what I'm on about look at P.112 of "The Fundamentals of Hogan" by Leadbetter

However, this is nit-picking - we all know that it's the result that counts and if your tempo is great and consistent your results will be great.

Picture this...A monkey with a shovel and a rock

ACTUALLY like I said about my putting, I probably have one of the best short games on this forum...BUT if there is something that keeps me from the tour, it is def that. You can't be +2 handicap and have a bad short game,It doesn't happen. But you can't be on tour unless you have an EXCELLENT short game...So that is why I'm so self critical about my short game...

If his handicap really is a +2, it's probably a correct assumption...

Re: Impact Pics for Larrysf!!!!

exactly...I could not shoot high 60's without a good short game...

See the word "good" is different for everyone...good for someone might be getting it somewhere on the green out of a greenside bunker...Good for me is getting it inside 3 or 4 feet out of that bunker...So its all relative....I've played competitive golf since I was 8 and competed nationally as a junior and had a successful collegiate career, and was and still am up in the air about turning pro...My standards are a little higher on how I judge myself than most people on this forum...

NikeGuy - I don't doubt you're a good golfer, but may I give you a bit of advice - your people skills need just a little bit of work. You are young though and I can only hope that with age will come some wisdom.

Ah - I just thought you were one of that "special" group here - I won't name names - who got out of the wrong side of the bed every morning.

Nope...I am just passionate about golf, and if someone questions something I say, I get deffensive...FURTHERMORE, if I am wrong its REALLY REALLY hard for me to admit it and if I do EVER admit it, it is very unhappily ...Maybe I could work on that one ...ORRR just never be wrong

But honestly this whole golf forum thing is a big front..I could meet anyone of these people on this forum (even larrylsf, or whatever his name is) and have a great time, play golf and be friends. I guess I'm used to car forums where EVERYONE is a Jerk and you have to be one or you will get eaten up.....But I'm usually not mean to someone on here unless they strike up an argument, or act like they know something and they are completely wrong

Don't worry - I like you - yes, I know how important that was to you. You have a sense of humor and that's the most important thing.

Yep, I concur. "good" is very different for many people. My father will ask all the time after I play what I shot and I tell him usually saying how my round could have been better and he just laughs saying that he'd give his right arm to be able to play like I do on a consistent basis. NikeGuy is at the level that I would like to be at. I can shoot consistently low 70's now, but have never broken the 70 barrier. That's my goal for this year.

Yep, I can vouch for him on this. He knows his stuff and is a very nice guy. I think people tend to take things a little to seriously and sometimes NikeGuy is taken the wrong way. I don't know where he's located, but I'd definitely be up to play a round or two with him.
