Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

At the moment, probably about four to six hours range work a week. Any more and I get tired and sore because I'm only just starting out and am using muscles that aren't used to the work.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

It's different for me since I work at a course. During the season, I'll get a few hours a day, usually very early and then right before dark to hit balls on our range. I'll get a good amount of putting in since the practice green is close to the clubhouse so the cordless phone will still ring. I'll usually get in three to five playing lessons a week as well, so I can hit some balls then also. On my day off I will usually go to the range at another course (need to get some time to myself) and work for a few hours on the short game.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

I probably practice from 4-6 hours in a week, pretty evenly split on chipping, putting, wedges and full shots.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

During the golf season I play about three times per week and practice twice a month or so.

During the winter, I hit the range a few times a month. Mostly just to curb the withdrawal symptoms.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

6 hours of putting per week (6, 8, 10, 12, 20, 25 foot putts).

Since it's too cold for the range for me, I swing the Medicus Iron and Driver 20 times a day for each club.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

During the season, I play twice a week.

I practice about 4 1/2 hours a week:
3 1/2 hour sessions at the range
3 1 hour short game practices

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

Since we've not had a day above 30 degrees for about two weeks, I've practiced none for a while.

When it's warm during the golf season I'll practice for about 3 hours each day during the week (mon - fri). Usually I'll just hit a small bucket of balls and then work on short game for the next two - two and a half hours. Usually Saturday or Sunday or both I'm playing.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

I don't know, let me see...if I play once every other week and hit a small bucket before the round, then hit the putting green for a few rolls. That's about 20 minutes every 2 weeks, so about one-sixth of an hour per week.

Just kidding, I usually get in a one whole whopping hour each week at the range. But I do play every other week on average.

With me being in school it is really hard for me to hit the range, but I have been playing 1once a week and getting to the range 1 time per week. Probably about 3 hours per week.

well, its 25 degrees outside here in CT, so not much at all. when its warm, i usually get about 10 hours of practice in on a bad week, on a good week, i could get about 25 hours of practice in (includes; putting, chipping, and the range).

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

While I'm in school I really can't but over the summers I would practice for 2 hours and play usually 4 hours. If I get a job that gives me this summer off it will be more than that...

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

I used to practice more, but the range near my house closed. I would spend an hour chipping and putting and an hour hitting balls 5 days a week.

The only driving range left in my town does not have chipping/putting greens, so I'm only practicing about 4-5 hours a week, not including play time.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

I normally get in about 3 weeks a round. I don't go and hit balls on a range. To me its pointless, your not learning anything. I spend a couple of hours a week Hitting wedges from say inside 50 yards, chipping and putting, after all that is the scoring zone

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

I really haven't swung a club in anger since September. Once the season gets going, I am pretty inconsistent, could go twice a week or twice all summer to the range. I do practice chipping almost daily in the front yard.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

It's embarrassing to admit here. Maybe 15 minutes on the practice green before a round if I have the time. I hit about 30-40 pre-round balls a few of the times I played with Leaguegolf but only because he was doing it. Practicing my short game for a couple of hours per week is one of my New Years golf resolutions.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

I do some swing-maintenance every day, without hitting balls: Practicing swing positions, backswing turns, downswing turns, air-swings etc.. It not only maintains my swing, it also maintains my body. I do this for 15-20 minutes each day, or about 2 hours per week.

On summer weekend days, I put in an additional 1.5 hours per day: Hitting actual shots on the range with a representatvie selection of my clubs (putter included). Around 3 hours per week.

On winter weekend days, I put in an additional 1.0 hours per day: Putting and swinging a short heavy club. Around 2 hours per week.

So the practice totals per week are:

Summer: 5 hours
Winter: 4 hours

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

"Prac-tice?" What is this "prac-tice" you speak of?

Yeah, I rarely get to practice unless I have a tournament coming up. Last year I would get a couple hours a week for about two weeks before a tournament. That's about it. That could be a reason I'm still a 16 handicap, but my wife and 2 kids are worth it.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

right now, i'm lucky to get in one hour a week practice, too much going on between work and family. hopefully, that will change soon. it's been showing mainly in my iron play and rhythm, or lack of.

Re: How many hours a week to you practice your game?

In the summer, I try to play or practice a little bit everyday. Whether its in the backyard or at the range. During the winter months its a little hard to practice. I do swing a few clubs in the house but nothing major. I do what I can to stay sharp.
