Play in Soggy Ground

Any suggestions on how to play on soggy fairways? Yesterday while playing on one of my home courses the fairway was a bit on the soft side, and my divots were so large I could smell Chinese food. How can I get clean contact without digging a hole under the ball? Thanks.

just focus on a more shallow swing... it stinks, i know, but it'll get better.

The key is to make sure you make ball first contact

Re: Play in Soggy Ground

yep, you should always make sure to hit ball before grass, but your slightly fat shots show up a lot more on wet ground.

I'm glad our fairways are damp! Usually their so hard, you can't dig into them with a shovel!

I don't have any advice, but that was pretty funny

Re: Play in Soggy Ground

Shallower attack angle, you need to think sweep rather than steep. Try picking the ball cleanly off the ground for the best possible contact.

He said what I was going to say, just play the ball up in your stance, and try to pick her clean!

Re: Play in Soggy Ground

I usually just go the 3/4 route, makes it easier to control all together.
