The finish position

I have a wierd problem. Everytime I followthrough, my club wraps around my back, then I automatically straighten it back out, and point it towards my target..I hit my balls fine, but I would like to learn to hold that finish position better. I have tried, but I just straighten back out again. ANyone have any ideas as to how to maintain that pretty club wrap, you see the pros do?

Re: The finish position

I tend to end up with the club down the target line as well, just seems more natural to me to bring the club back. I'm not flexible enough to hold every swing at the finish, if I hit one really well, I may hold it but 80% of the time it comes back in front of me.

Re: The finish position

Don't swing as hard? I wouldn't do anything to change if I were you, especially if you really did have 2 eagles and 4 birdies in 9 holes as you stated in another thread.

Re: The finish position

My finish looks similar to Nikeguy07's....except my eyes are moving around a lot more looking for the ball!!! Hahahaha...just kidding. For some reason I end up really offbalance. Ringer from GR(I don't know if he's here as well) posted a video about the finish position and it's importance. I got it on my PSP.

I found this article interesting regarding the type of finish on your golf swing.

I wouldn't consider my self a hard winger, I consider myself a smoothswinger, that swings fast. I don't strain, I just let it flow naturally. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't finish properly...oh well, I guess I'm just going to have to work at it a little more. Yes, I really did have that round..I got the scorecard framed, I got lucky on that round.
