I've got the White Steel #1 putter, 34''. I got it from Santa back in December, and have just recently gotten to use it enough to give a review. When I went to the shop looking for putters, I wasn't planning on an Odyssey, and I really didn't want an insert putter. I tried the Yes putters, and Never Compromise, and some others, and just for kicks picked up what I have now. I like the feel of the White Steel insert (which is really a multi-layer insert) over the White Hot, which is much softer. The WS falls between the "soft" inserts, and the milled face putters, which worked out just right for me. If you're looking for something a little softer than a milled face, but don't want the "mushy" feel of an insert, this may be the right one for you.
