Useful Skill

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone here for the fun and for the educational benefits I get from sparring with you all on the rules. I've had a reasonable understanding of the Rules of Golf, and the associated Decisions, for quite a few years now, enough to be able to look up and find most of the information I need. But internet discussions like these are good mental calisthentics, and I find more and more that I don't take as long to find a pertinent Rule or Decision, and I don't even have to look them up as often as I used to.

This forum could be a great benefit to the general GRW community, although I'm fairly certain that many of those who could use enlightenment the most probably take one look at the title and just skip over it.

Anyway, thanks again for providing this service for your members.

Rules? Heh, we don't need no stinkin' rules!

Although I am curious as to what the legal limit is on Mulligans per round. I've heard one per nine or 3 per 18.....ANYONE?

There is no limit in the rules of golf to the number of mulligans you may take.

But... under the Rules of Golf, playing a what is popularly known as a mulligan, even though not recognized by that name in the rules, will certainly incur at least a 2 stroke penalty under several possible Rules violations.

So you're saying I have to take more than two Mulli's in order to yield any kind of possible net gain?
