Ryder Cup Central Here we go again. This time at Valhalla, September 16-21, in the heart of Kentucky for Golf's bi-yearly version of The Hatfields vs. The McCoys. It's been a rough go of it for the US lately. Will this be the year the Tiger-less fresh blood steps up or will it be more of the same ? Here is the place for all of your Ryder Cup discussion.

Single's matches

Kim - Garcia, Garcia to win strongly in the first match out, will be interesting, wasnt Anthony Kim the one who drove the green (or 2nd shot to a par 5), whilst Garcia's group was still putting out?

Mahan - Casey, Halved or 1 up either way, Hard one to call this one.
1 up Europe

Leonard - Karlsson, Leonard looks favourite for me here
AS

Mickelson - Rose, Rose to win a close called show
1 up Europe

2 up Europe

Weekley - Wilson, Weekley to win convincingly
1 up Europe

Holmes - Hansen, Hansen to out play Holmes tactically, easy win
2 up Europe

Furyk - Jimenez, Got to be close, Jimenez wins on the 18th
3 up Europe

Cink - Mcdowell, Cink to take this one, Mcdowell has been a ryder cup revelation, but cant see him doing Cink 1 to 1.
2 up Europe

Stricker - Poulter, Poulter to take it before the 16th
3 up Europe

Curtis - Westwood, Halved, cant say much more
3 up Europe

Campbell - Harrington, Harrington wins on the 17th green

Re: Single's matches

I think the way these have lined up is very exciting. I don't see any dead cert games out there. I see two people have given Boo an easy win against Oliver Wilson, but Wilson is 1 for 1 and I think looked good (not that I saw a whole lot of it). There probably will be a blow out somewhere, just because that's the nature of the game, but there's not a game there I can't see going to 18. Tomorrow should be very exciting. I can't wait.

Re: Single's matches

Boo's been great though. I'd put good money on Hansen over JB. Curtis has been bad too, but I think he has a shot against Westwood. That's what makes this such a great event. Anyone can beat anyone tomorrow. But Hansen is a lock.

I said before that I think the US needed a 3 point lead going into Sunday to win the Cup and I'm sticking with that prediction.

Kim - Garcia
US 9-8

Mahan - Casey
US 10-8

Leonard - Karlsson Halved
US 10.5-8.5

Mickelson - Rose
US 10.5-9.5

Perry - Stenson
10.5-10.5

Weekley - Wilson
US 11.5-10.5

Holmes - Hansen
11.5-11.5

Furyk - Jimenez Halved
12-12

Cink - Mcdowell
US 13-12

Stricker - Poulter Halved
US 13.5-12.5

Curtis - Westwood
13.5-13.5

Campbell - Harrington
Europe 14.5-13.5

Re: Single's matches

I'll not go match by match, but I'll predict a 6-6 split tomorrow in the individual matches, giving the US the Ryder Cup by a slim margin.

Re: Single's matches

There will be a suprise win for both sides, Kim v Garcia,Wilson v Weekly , but I'm still expecting Harrington to clinch the 14th point and the draw pays out.

16-12 to either side is also possible!

That wouldn't be enough to get the Cup back to American soil. I hope I'm way out to lunch, but I just don't think these pairings set up well for Zinger and the boys.

Let's go USA!

By my count - and I may well be very wrong here - Furyk was your first correct call...

I went 3-9. That's why I stay out of the casinos.

By my count, I've never been happier to be wrong about thinking the Euros had the advantage match up wise!
