Wasn't sure where to post this. I noticed several members have been made Moderators. Just curious who and what their responsibilities are.

Those that show up in bold blue are the new mods. Their duties, like mine are to keep the site free from garbage and to enforce the site rules with regards to keeping Golf Rewound Family friendly.

Yes, there are some new guys here (me being one) my sole responsibility is to counteract the sarcasm of a certain League golfer, which I must admit, may be an impossible task!

I also am a new mod and as jcgolfpro said our duties are to keep Golf Rewound family friendly which I and all the mods/admin take very serious.

Now on the lighter side atm_73 comment that is a full time job wow I would want that one.

Well, clicking the link is the easy way out....we like to do things the hard way here at GRW, especially when there are so many new mods to "help out"...

A big part of the addition of several new mods was to have mods in several different time zones, including internationally. This way, there more than likely will be at least one mod on the boards at any given time - trying to get to close as 24x7 coverage as possible. Of course, at times during peak hours it will look like there is a convention going on, but I suspect as membership keeps on growing eventually it won't be as noticable.

How are moderators selected? DO they just get a PM, asking if they wabt the job, or is it a voting process?

Thanks, 'card. And I'm proud to be up on that wall, along with so many fine colleagues (old and new). With this many people watching over the site (and great cooperation from GRW's members

), the added duties are not burdensome at all.

FYI, "wall" is a reference to a fantastic Jack Nicholson (as Col. Jessep) speech in the movie A Few Good Men. I think it was Leaguegolf who made it part of moderator mythology.
