Login issues redux

This is a weird one for me, it is not actually a problem for me but I'd like to see if it can be resolved anyway.

On my home laptop, I am running Vista Home Premium. Using IE7 I am having no problems whatsoever using GRW and other sites.

I recently installed Firefox 3 and yesterday Safari. I prefer the look and feel of Safari so far and have uninstalled Firefox. Firefox is OK but I didn't use it because of this issue:

When I surf to GRW (in both Firefox and Safari) I get to the forum with no problems and I am not logeed in. If I type in my username and password, tick the box, not only am I not remembered but I return to the home screen not logged in. Surely this is not right?

Any ideas?

Re: Login issues redux

Check the cookie and cache settings in those browsers. That'll be the culprit if you are able to browse and stay logged in with IE7.

Re: Login issues redux

probably some sort of delay in your browser cache then.

Don't know if that'll help you too, but I run Firefox also.

That hasn't done anything in Safari, but at least I am logged in, I just need an extra click.

Re: Login issues redux

This happened to me today. I thought I was not putting my password in correctly or something.

Re: Login issues redux

I run Firefox, and it does it for me too. It'll say I'm not logged in, but as soon as I view a page, I'm logged in. Wierd, but not a big deal.
