Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

Go to your User CP, and click "Options" on the left side of the screen. Under "Messaging and Notification" there is a box entitled "Default Thread Subscription Mode." Currently it looks like it's automatically set to "Do not subscribe," but in the drop-down list there are there are a couple options. Choose whatever you want to make your default thread subscription mode and email notification. Don't forget to click "Save changes" at the bottom of the page after you make your selection.

not all members liked that automatic subscription, so it is set default not to subscribe. If you want to be subscribed you may turn it on yourself

Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

I am not sure the 'go to the latest post' feature is working correctly. Is that an option I need to adjust somewhere?

If I click that arrow button, it should bring me right to the first new post. Sometimes it does, other times not so much...

Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

I was having the same problem, but I think it's working now. I guess, only time will tell.

Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

Actually, I don't think it is working correctly. At GR I would be subscribed to a thread if I started the thread or I posted in one. I could go to the Control Panel and all the new post would be there in those threads. I could fast forward to the last post I read and then the thread would be deleted from my Control Panel until a new post was made.

Now it appears the threads are locked in my Control Panel, because they don't delete after I read the new post. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

Brooke should be back on tomorrow to help out with that. She's had a very long weekend with little sleep. She's a full-time college student and works as well. I'm certain that she can assist when she gets back on.

Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

No problem. I don't want to make her work any harder than she already is.

Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

I believe you have to manually delete your subscribed threads. I had one straggler that I had to do that with this afternoon. As far as the subscriptions, you can manage that from your User CP.

Re: Help me with the subscriptions...

Every aspect of thread subscriptions have to be manually configured from each person's own user CP. This is to avoid people who don't want their emails and user CP box flooded because they don't want the feature.
