Grafalloy Epic Shaft

Just got this one in and was extremely impressed. Picked up 8 yards versus the Diamana Red Board in the same club head plus had lower spin and a tighter dispersion. Solid feel and seemed to play a little stiffer than the Diamana Red, 68 gram weight in the driver shaft versus 73 in my Diamana, the fairway wood played just as nicely and showed similar gain in distance and dispersion. 85 grams in the fairway versus 83 in the Diamana.

Re: Grafalloy Epic Shaft

Graffalloy tend to be stiffer then other makers even Diamana. I had a Diamana Blue board and the Gaffalloy blue....both were stiff flex..... was a lot stiffer.

Wow...I was impressed with the shaft, but I lost about 8 yards on a vector launch monitor with the epic, but really enjoyed the accuracy...I just picked up a Matrix Ozik shaft that will be in my Sumo on Saturday!

Re: Grafalloy Epic Shaft

I never had success with the Ozik shafts, not sure why, but I didn't get the numbers right. I tried them all too, even the TPx. They are great shafts though.

Re: Grafalloy Epic Shaft

I hit it, but not in my club head, so it could be better. It was the closest one that I found to what I was looking for launch number wise.

Yea I have a diamana 83X in my current driver, and just spin it WAY to much...the launch isn't bad, but the spin is horrible....Hopefully this will work, if not...The epic or pro launch red might bin next

Re: Grafalloy Epic Shaft

If the Altus was a little lower launching, it would be a great fit for me. I like the feel and the spin of that one, but just launched it a little too high.

I really like the feel and performance of the Epic shaft. It has a slightly stiffer feel to it than what the flex says on the shaft. It launches about the same as my Diamana shaft yet has a lower spin rate and a tighter dispersion. I picked up about 8 yards of carry without having to change my swing.
