Introducing Brooke, creator of GRW

Ok guys, I realize that many of you have wondered who I am, so I'm going to do a brief intro on myself. My name is Brooke and I was known as Elizabeth on GR. My parents are ForgedRbest and PingsRbest. My sister is Daddy'sGirl.

My father approached me last week to ask me if it would be possible for me to construct these forums for ya'll. I hadn't been in GR in quite awhile as Elizabeth, so I wasn't aware of the situation on GR as it had developed the past week. When I was made aware of what was going on, I told him to purchase a domain and hosting and the VB software and I would get this place up if that's what all the majority wanted. I get back, I get a call to go to my parents on Saturday and here we are.

I set this site up with many administrators. All of them are pretty much the old mods from GR plus me. My sister has been made a regular moderator as well. The reason for this many admins are simple, we don't want to have a repeat of GR on this board ever again. Eventually all of the admins will understand how to completely use the admin privileges and will be able to take up much of what I am currently doing now, save for making changes to the actual hosting site where image files are stored. As of now while they are all learning, please be patient when it comes to things such as smilies and special layout features that require hacks that have to be put in by me. Those will all come in time. Many of these hacks are for the version 3.5vb and the current 3.6vb that we use, and I've got to learn myself how to implement them. I was familiar with hacks on the version 2 of the software.

I do want to make this site even better than GR ever was with great features. Please also remember too, we don't want to be exactly like GR, this is a new start, so not all things from the old forum will ever be implemented.

If anyone has any questions or problems, contact me or any of the other admins and we will address it. If you have suggestions, go to the Suggestion Box and make it and it will be considered if possible.

I want to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to be here to do this for all of you. Web design and forum administration has always been one of my passions in the technology field and I'm glad to be able to do this!

Brooke...allow me to add another big THANK YOU, from all of us on the admin team. Your help in setting up the forum has been more than we could have expected of you (well, your parents may have more expectations, but we mean the rest of us ) and I'm so thankful that you're giving us a hand in learning the ropes as admins.
