New One Here

Hi my name is Lauren and i am 16 years old and have been hitting the golf ball since the age of 7. I play on my highschool golfing team and will be one of the co-captains this upcoming season. I am excited about that one. I usually shoot in 18 holes between 95-110. I really would love to get my handicap under the 20's by the end of this upcoming season. I will have to work on my green time for that to happen. It is so frustrasting when you reach the green on a par 4 in 2 and you end up with a 6. Ahhhhhhhhhh. That is my game in a nut shell. I just lose my composure when I start missing around the hole. And that is probably the worst thing i could do. Oh well, i still have fun and that is what it is all about...... Right?

I also like listening to music like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, AFI, Blind Melon, Green Day, Pearl Jam, 10,000 Maniacs,Thousand Foot Krutch, Flyleaf stuff like that. I also like hitting the theater and seeing a good movie. I really enjoy just about anything if it has a good story.

Hey, it's nice to meet you, Lauren! You'll find lots of great advice here...help with your chip shots, perhaps, or maybe you just want to talk about the Tour players' offseason habits if you're in the Middle Atlantic states like a lot of us. Make sure you check out the Clubhouse, where we talk about most anything our heart desires.

A Morgan Pressel look-a-like. Welcome and hope you enjoy and perhaps some tips from some here may be all you need to take it on down. Remember one of Jack's tips. "Never up, Never in". Always look at the putt through and passed the hole so you have a good idea what to expect on the next one.

Re: New One Here

Thanks stlcard. I enjoy the CK too, I didn't think about what people would address me as until I already chose my user name!

Stumbled upon it looking for a nice place to talk golf (and a bit of other sports) through a series of places that did not appear as friendly. Tidbit: this place comes up third in google listing for "Family Golf Forum."

Re: New One Here

Interesting. It comes up after two instances of "Toronto Golf Nuts." This is probably the wrong spot to be talking about this, but is Google regionally specific in regards to it's results?

Kissing up to you can lead to an encounter riding shotgun in the golf cart of death...or so Waz has said.

I can positively guarantee you that there WAS NO KISSING INVOLVED! .....unless you count the part where Waman was kissing the ground once he reached safety!

Hey CristieKerr, you wouldn't happen to have any safe cart driving tips would you?

Why use all four wheels when two will do?

I'm not the 2-wheel speedster type. I'm more of a 4-wheeler, lets go where no man has gone before, kind of guy. Sometimes where Wazmankg and I hit it it's good to have that spirit of adventure. My spirit is just a bit more daring than his.
