HEHE TY. I like the Masters in "general". The first, and the course! Each year, the others may be on a course that is a better tourny than The Masters, but not each year.

All the others, if I pay the green fees, I can play the courses those are held on. Bethpage, Pinehurst, Medina, Pebble, St Andrews, Carnoustie - you name it, you can buy a tee time. Not so at Augusta - gives it that mystical, untouchable feeling. Adds to the legend of the Masters and Augusta National for me.

1st of the year, and at the perfect time in the golf year.
Same, beautiful coarse everytime.
For completely subjective reasons, it somehow seems like the most prestigious major to me.

I have to agree with xnavct on this, there is not much chance I will ever get to play Augusta. On second thought there is no chance.

I picked The US Open, The Open is a close 2nd, then the other 2

The Open Championship (British Open), I like the elements that the players seem to always face, be it wind or course layout. Seeing the different ways that players have to look at shots, be it putting from well off the greens, chipping with hybrids or longer irons than we see in the States.

Second is the Masters, I like seeing the same course every season for this event, you can almost see Bobby Jones standing on the first tee box.

It has to be the Masters for me. Something about just coming out of the winter months and then watching the tournament in April really gets me going for the golf season. Plus, when Jack won in 1986, I was watching with my dad and it has stuck in my memory ever since.

British Open, especially when played in Scotland. It's where the game began. Plus which, I love eating breakfast while I watch links-style golf.

Masters is my second fave. It often occurs right at the end of the Minnesota winter, right when I need recharging.

1. Masters-early spring golf, beautiful course, always produces a class winner
2. US Open-tough conditions, tough scoring, usually produces a good finish (last man making a par wins?)
3. Open Championship-links golf, tough weather conditions, and the Claret Jug
4. PGA Championship-usually the fairest major, best field, tends to create an exciting event.

When the Open is at St. Andrews, it goes to #2 on the list and the US Open goes to #3.

I voted for The Masters, just because of aesthetics. As far as the golf, The Open Championship and the U.S. Open are in my opinion better tourneys. For some reason, The PGA Championship doesn't really do it for me. I would rather watch the Players Championship the the PGA.

The U.S. Open for me. I love the fact that they make the course so difficult each year. I read somewhere that the US Open is the single most difficult sporting event to win....now, I don't know if that's true, but none the less, I think it tests the pros abilities and nervs more than the others. Augusta National changes so much every year it may as well be a different course but ya can't beat the tradition they have there. I enjoy the PGA b/c pretty much the top 100 golfers in the world show up and that's kinda cool. I enjoy The British Open the least mostly b/c I don't care for the lynks style courses they play on. I hate to say it, but on TV, those courses look like cow pastures.

1) Masters

3) US Open
