Changed My Mind on Natalie Gulbis!

was kind of down on the whole PR blitz on her and the Golf Channel show was dumb , and honestly couldn't see what the hype was about her looks...

saw a bit of the lpga this year and it seems her golf is more interesting and her looks are maturing

i study the spine angle in her full swing and try to mimic about one tenth of it in mine...and heck , if it doesn't improve my shots,

so a new FAN today ...now let's see a win....

Been a Natalie fan since about 4 years ago, and would love to see her win. Have seen her a few times, and talk to her dad when we see him. He actually remembers us. At least she looks like a fine example of what a female golfer should look like. Her shows, ahhhh......OK, lets hear it.

I think Natalie will get that first win this year. She is looking pretty good(and I mean on her Golf Play)

She's due for a win. I watched her show, it didn't interest me. There really isn't all that much to her above the obvious surface attraction, which doesn't really float my boat to be honest. She's to be commended for achieving what golf success she has with what is basically a pretty funky swing.

I think she is rather pretty, but it is her Golf game I hope that will make her a house hold name. Not like Anna Kournikova who got all her fame for her looks and not her tennis game.

I've been a Natalie fan since I started golfing. Lately I've been watching alot of Paula Creamer. She has really cought my interest. Not with only her looks but shes a decent player. I really enjoy watching her.

OK, no beauty queen, but better, way better, than whats out there, IMO. Who else thinks she looks a LOT better with her hair up? Plus she CAN play.

I don't want to sound like a 'male', but why does she wear the "Jane Mansfield look", if you know what I mean? I can't see that as being comfortable, but then I wouldn't know :-). I noticed that lots of the gals have drive distances in the 280-290 yrd range, is that partly because of hard fairways? They asked Allen Doyle on the senior tour about driving stats increasing this year and he said its because they're firming up the fairways on the courses they've played this year.

They didn't give her her own show because of her revolutionary ideas about the golf swing. I've always noticed more run on the Champions and LPGA events over the years, moreso than the PGA ones. I truly doubt that many of the ladies fly it more than 240.

I remember reading somewhere that Michelle Wie in a recent tournament only averaged 230-240 in driving distance.

Yea I think that was in her last attempt against the guys. She muffed a couple short of 200 which threw off her stats. She is legitimately long from most accounts.

Might have something to do with what PingsRBest discusses in the Ladies' forum (http://golfrewound.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1255). I can just imagine the adjustments needed to a swing, and the clothing needed to keep those things under control. Especially on a petite frame like Natalie.

I agree. She's decent, but she's by no means smoking. Of course, neither are any of the other LPGA players!

I think the fairways at all the professional events run really fast, myself. I know at my course, we mowed our fairways at 9/16"...I'd be surprised if the PGA Tour fairways were much more than 3/8".
